Hello, after being redirected here for a better hindsight, here’s my question :

I wanted to know if it was possible to setup a Conditional Field without using CF7’s tag (ex : [select tagname …]) and instead use a <select name=”tagname”>. With a tag written the HTML way, the Conditional Field plugin can’t find the name of the tag and therefore I can’t select anything in the “if” condition.

Thank you in advance for your answer!

    Hi,

Currently conditional fields only works with square bracket tags (works with both built-in tags and any tags that you defined yourself).

I don’t think I will allow this because conditional fields needs to be aware of these tags for validation and inside the email messages.

That said, with the pro version you can use custom JavaScript functions and create your conditions based on anything you want, including your own html-fields

Ooh I see, guess I’ll stick with my [select] haha. Thank you for your answer Jules!
