    hi
    when i tryin to install wordpress on my wamp server the following errors appears :
    Warning: require(C:\wamp\www\wordpress/wp-includes/random_compat/random.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\wamp\www\wordpress\wp-includes\compat.php on line 338

    Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘C:\wamp\www\wordpress/wp-includes/random_compat/random.php’ (include_path=’.;C:\php\pear’) in C:\wamp\www\wordpress\wp-includes\compat.php on line 338
    where have i gone wrong?

    Hi there!

    It almost sounds like your server configuration isn’t quite right. Have you tried reading WAMP’s documentation about that?

    What happens if you install from a clean, fresh copy of WordPress?

    hi jose
    i put new and fresh copy of WordPress on my localhost root (www/wordpress) and when i follow it from localhost on browser (https://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/setup-config.php) this error appears.

    Have you checked to confirm this in your directories? I checked my version of wordpress, and these files are in the folder specified: …\mywordpress\wp-includes\random_compat\random.php.

    Also, is that where your PHP is located, in C:\PHP\ ? Sorry, I’m not too familiar with WAMP.

    This is included in the WordPress download. You can try copying it from a fresh WordPress download, but I don’t know how you would have lost this in the first place.
