• Hi – wow, your open source newsletter solution looks very interesting.
However, I got stuck at the requirement of having an own (configured) listmonk server.

I currently use MailPoet for most of my projects as it is very easy to setup and reliable.

For listmonk, are there any plans for:
    1. Making it possible to use GravityForms to subscribe?
    2. Make it easier for a non-backend-techie to setup the plugin and not needing a separate server for it. I would like to try it, but it seems difficult to start.

Maybe not possible, but I just wanted to post my thoughts here.

    Thanks a lot,
    Michael

Hi Michael! Thanks a lot for your interest in the plugin.

Please be aware I am not the maintainer of listmonk (https://github.com/knadh/listmonk), I made a plugin for WordPress/WooCommerce to interact with your own listmonk server. There is no way the plugin would work without a listmonk server, as the only thing the plugin does it making sure data that subscribers input on your website will be send to a listmonk server of your choice.

Setting up a listmonk server may be more straightforward than you think, you could use a service like Pikapods https://www.pikapods.com/ or https://railway.app/new/template/listmonk to host it in a more user friendly way. Then you don’t have to do any server maintenance work yourself.

As for the GravityForms support; I am not familiar with that plugin, does it have a simple clear way for developers to use their hooks? I would advise to try with WPForms or Contact Form 7, or are you dependent on GravityForms? Building that would take quite some time, especially if there is no need for it by others.
