Setup (Slider issue)

  • Hi, just came across this site for a client and would like to know if there is a “setup” white paper anywhere. The home page slider is not working and for the life of me it appears as if it should with the theme options. As info, right now, the home page is the latest posts, but even tried a static page to no avail. Any help is appreciated

    Ok, is this your first install or did you come from older version?

    You will need to set some pics in order to make the front page slider works. I can’t remember now, but I think, by default, it’s set to show nothing until some upload any pic on Appereance >> Theme Options >> Front Page, have you done that?

    I am not sure what you meant by “white paper”. But I think I got an idea.

    By default, if you dont set a pic to your post, it automatically will show a “black picture” on its place.

    You will need to set a pic to each post in order to make it works.

    Hello Jose, thank you for your response – This was an install over an older theme. There are quite a few pics already in the site and the pics that I wish to add to the slider are even set as featured images. Is the default “home” page within this theme labled Front Page somewhere?: Have run across things like that before but did not see that in here at all

    Ok, first, which slider are you talking about.

    This theme has 2 slider, one on the Front Page and another on the Home Page.

    The Front Page slider doesn’t get posts from the blog, instead that, you need to set some pics/title/description using the Theme Options page.

    The Home Page slider uses post from the blogs, but also you can choose which category you want to be shown using the Theme Opptions page.

    Sometimes, it is better to provide me the website link, so I can take a look and give you a better response.

    Yes, you are right. Everything seems to be okay, not sure what is going on.

    I am not sure if you changed anything on the code. Maybe you should try delete and download the theme again. Have already you tried it?

    ok, have uninstalled and reinstalled with neg-res, everything is still the same
