Several Issues
-
…great effort on the plugin, but there are a couple of issues.
1) It does not get along with SearchWP. I did not examine the issue in detail, but the behavior is as follows: SearchWP enabled causes no results to be returned by WP Custom Fields Search. SearchWP disabled causes expected results to be properly returned WP Custom Fields Search. So the source is fairly obvious even if the reason isn’t.
2) Several Custom Taxonomies searched via a drop down menu cause an issue, specifically: Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given error. This could be an issue related to a theme (in my case Twenty Fourteen), as the error is thrown by the featured-content.php file in the theme’s INC directory. I did not test by changing themes (sorry, couldn’t do it).
Anyway, just trying to help a bit, not trying to be critical. Sorry about not being able to include more specifics. This is one of only a few plugins that supports user front end choices in a search. There’s great potential with this plugin.
