Hi @evoluzionemedia,
I’m Betsy and trying to get things (WPJM) to work. But it unfortunately starts with the submission form not working. It can be filled out just fine, but preview does not work and there is no job created to review.
There can be a number of causes that can affect the job submission flow.
- Check plugin/theme conflicts
Do you have any other plugins besides the core WP Job Manager plugin? There are many plugins and themes not developed by us that extend WP Job Manager functionality, or themes and plugins that override our plugins.
Could you try these steps to temporarily disable all plugins and revert to a default theme?
- Install Health Check plugin on your site
- Download and install Twenty Twenty-Three on your site if not installed already
- Go to Installed Plugins. Click Troubleshoot on WP Job Manager
- Try reproduce the issue
- Once you are done, go back to wp-admin and disable troubleshooting mode through the top bar.
If you don’t want to do these tests on your live site, many hosts provide a staging service, where you can do testing without affecting the live site. You can ask your host about this. If they don’t give you a staging site, you could try WP Staging or Duplicator:

To troubleshoot the theme, you can use a plugin that only switches the theme for the current user (leaving the as normal for any visitors), linked below:

2. WPJM Settings
Would you review your job submission settings to see if it requires admin review?
https://wpjobmanager.com/document/getting-started/setting-up-wp-job-manager/#job-submission-settings
Specifically:
Moderate New Listings – If enabled, new submissions will be inactive, pending admin approval. Only once approved by an admin (published) will they be visible on the?frontend.

That said, would you explain what exactly happens when you mean the form doesn’t “work”?
Are buttons nonresponsive when you click on them? Are you getting any error messages?
Since we cannot reproduce this on our end, we need as much information as possible so we can reproduce this issue under the same environment (e.g., default WordPress theme, no other plugins enabled).
Let us know what you find!
