    Hello

First of all thank you for this plugin! Really great.

However i have several questions (i search previously on the forum):

    – On the event’s page, is it possible to display the username of the user who create the event? This way other users know who create this event.

    – My website is a free fitness community, i want users to be able to create meetings or others fitness activites but always set “tickets” as free.
Is there a way to hide the price (not with css) or setting it to “free” automaticly without possibilities for user to change it? Is it possible to allow automaticly reservations (meaning tick the input)?

    – Is there a functino to display the username(nicename) of the user who take a reservation instead of his real name?

    Thank you

  • Hi,

    Glad you’re enjoying the plugin.

There’s an existing placeholder called #_CONTACTNAME that shows the event owner’s name. If you wanted to show the username you’d need to create your own placeholder to do that.

The #_BOOKINGNAME placeholder does something similar for the person who booked the event, but again you’d need to use custom code to show the username instead.

This code snippet can be used to set the default price of new tickets.

Ok thank you, i will try to do it with your explanations.

I have another question: in users’s role option, if i uncheck “manage_others_booking” a user is not able to create an event : ” You do not have permission to manage others bookings”

If i check this option, no problem a user can create a new event but every user can modify this event as well! i don’t want that ??

    Am i missing something?

    Thank you

i mean if “manage others booking” is disable, user can create event but without the booking capability and he will receive the warning

Which version of Events Manager are you using?

just to confirm, are you using events submission form and allow anonymous event submission option and then assigned a dummy user with a subscriber role?

    Hello Angelo

No i disallow anonymous event submission, do you think it’s the key of the issue?

Any resolution to this? I am having the same issue.

When a user with the author role and the following capabilities (https://grab.by/P960) tries to create a class, they see the message “You do not have permission to manage others bookings.” However, the class is still created.

If they click Submit again immediately after seeing that message, it gives them the success message.

Any ideas? I do not have anonymous event submission enabled.
