    Hi,
I have a very large page (11,125 lines – 111,897 words — In Text Mode).

I remember there was lag when I created this page (in 2014) but I was able to work on the page. Now, I need to edit this page to make some changes.

I click the edit button and it takes about 30-60 seconds to load, one the page loads and I try to scroll down it starts to lag and then gets stuck. I wait for 1-2 minutes and then I can scroll again. If I try to edit a single word it takes me 5-10 minutes and then it’s stuck again.

Is there any way to fix this?

    My wordpress settings.

I was going through the following post: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/text-editor-extremely-slow?replies=42

    1. I disabled emojis by updating the functions.php (I know it’s not the recommended way but I am just testing what would work)
    2. Chrome Version 49.0.2623.87m is what I am on and face this issue.
    3. On the latest version of IE the issue is still there but the lag is not as severe.
    4. On Firefox version 45.0 I get this error message when loading the editor: https://i.imgur.com/ke3dm1e.png

The message on firefox led me to disable Yoast SEO plugin and the problem went away.

This means that I need to contact Yoast to get this fix. Marking this as resolved.
