• As much as I dearly want to know the audience insights and demographics of my traffic, I have, unfortunately, had to remove their tracking verification plugin and scripts.

I tried both their plugin and their manually placed tracking script. Both had a negative affect on my pageload speed. The plugin is far worse affect than the manually placed script.

The plugin somehow manages to affect both image optimization output and javascript minification across the board.

The primary issues are their server’s expires headers settings for their javascript and pixel, and their javascript cannot be minified.

Both scripts cause page load to hang something awful on mobile devices.

While this is a great concept, it is a very poorly written plugin.

    Hi Leopard-Lady,

Sorry you’re facing this issue! We appreciate the feedback and would like to learn more about the load speed you described. You can contact me personally at [email protected] and I’ll help investigate the issue.

Our Measure tag is asynchronous and does not prevent other code files or page content from loading. The asynchronous tag ensures that the quant.js file (a core component of Quantcast Measure) loads in the background a single time. We’ve tested the load time (in the background) and found it to average 40-150ms. The tag script size is typically between 4-12kb and comes pre-minified and gzipped to ensure optimal performance.

Our engineering team has been made aware of the issue you described and will take a look into it. I encourage you to contact [email protected] as well to get connected to our Support Team.

    Thank you!

    Hi Quantcast Measure Team,
I have recently moved to new hosting. I discovered that my previous hosting server environment was actually causing several plugin and front-end output issues. I have been able to resolve nearly all of the issues on this new server environment.

Let me reinstall your plugin and test it again. I’ll post back to you shortly to let you know if it runs any better on this new server.

By the way, I did contact your support team and sent them test result screenshots before posting my review here. They replied that they would forward my information to the appropriate team members and get back to me with any updates. And that was the last I heard from them.

Thank you for your reply! I’ll post back in just a little bit.

I am running into the same issues with your plugin on the new server.

I’ll send the before and after screenshots to your email indicated above.

    Thank you,
    LL
