    Hi there,

First thanks to SiteGround for a great service overall and a great optimizer app.

The issue I am having is that Lazy Loading of images refuses to work for mobile.

On desktop my site loads ~0.9s.
On mobile it loads ~ 5.6s.

I have tried turning off html minification but it doesn’t fix the issue and everything loads slower.

I tried a popular lazy loading plugin (A3) and turned off SG Optimizer lazy loading – this made no difference either.

I am guessing (but I am by no means a web developer) that the image tags are being lost somewhere in the CSS or elsewhere and none of the lazy loading plugins are working as a result.

Is there something I can turn off that will allow mobile lazy loading of images?

    Many thanks,

    Shane

    Hey there @shanemck,

We had a look at your website, but it looks like you are currently not using our lazy-load optimization. Would it be possible to turn it on from the plugin interface and disable any other lazyloading functionality to investigate the case further?

    Kind regards,
    Stoyan

    Hello @shanemck,

Thank you for your update and cooperation on the case.

I have inspected the page source on mobile and images are lazy loaded.

Thus being said – the mobile version slowness is not related the lazy loading. You might need to further discuss the case with your website developer.

    Best Regards,
    Elena

    Hi Elena,

Even though the page source describes that images are being lazy loaded Google PageSpeed Insights reports that two large images at the bottom of the page are not being defered.

Please see this screenshot: Google Page Speed Insights Report

Is this an error on Google’s side or yours?

    Many thanks for your help,

    Kind regards,

    Shane

    Hi @marcoragogna

Thanks for letting me know! I’ll get to resizing instead,

    Cheers,

    Shane
