Share and Follow Twitter wont post

Same here.

I ve observed that the new twitter code should be

‘share_url’ => “https://twitter.com/?status=TITLEURI”,

in share-and-follow.php

for the post to integrate Twitter but there is still the “+” that needs to be replaced by a “space” which i don’t know how to do.

Had the same problem, noticed the fix was giving back messed up code, looked around a little and found this solution instead: https://www.hightechdad.com/2011/05/18/how-to-pre-populate-twitter-status-updates-the-new-way-via-links-web-intents/

so change the share_url line to:
‘share_url’ => “https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=TITLEURI”,

and you get a nice pop out window with your post! Thanks for your help finding what I needed to change, hopefully this helps you!

A bit more information for people who don’t know where to edit the line share_url.

In the share and follow folder there is a file called share-and-follow.php. Scroll down to line 771.

Delete this line

‘share_url’ => “https://twitter.com/home/?status=TITLEURI”,

And paste this line

‘share_url’ => “https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=TITLEURI”,

I had the same problem with Twitter sharing on two of my websites. I tried the solution posted here and now it works perfectly!

Thank you thank you thank you. I was hoping I wasn’t going to have to switch to a new plugin.

What happens when they update though? Think they’ll include the fix in the update?

I have this problem but with only the first twitter button on the page not posting info. on click the twitter button just disappears!

And paste this line

‘share_url’ => “https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=TITLEURI”,

did not work for me.
