Share bar doesn't display

It looks like the theme is doing something weird; I can tell that the plugin is running fine because it’s loading its stylesheet.

But since you’re using a theme from the .org repo, I checked its code and it isn’t doing anything weird.

So there are two potential issues: either there’s a conflict with your footnotes plugin, or something was corrupted in either the theme or the plugin files. You can try temporarily disabling the footnotes plugin to see if that’s the issue, and if that isn’t it, I’d recommend downloading and installing a fresh version of the theme and plugin.

You would want to use a child theme if you want to use the manual-output code, and it would go in single.php for posts.

Make sure all of the QuickShare config settings are set up to display QuickShare where you want it.

Disabled footnotes, installed fresh theme & plugin. Nothing worked.

Then, I began disabling plugins one by one. Share buttons became visible after disabling Jetpack. So I think there is the conflict. Which is pretty bleack, since Jetpack is a big fellow (difficult for me to dig into it) and I kinda like it (don’t want to remove it).

The only other thing I can think of here, is that it might directly conflict with a specific Jetpack module. Which is really odd, of course, because you would actively need to try to conflict with something like this to break it, the way this plugin works. But, I have a suspicion that it might work to disable the Jetpack social sharing module, which is their equivalent of what QuickShare does (with a different optionset).

I ran into the same issue today with the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin. The QuickShare bar would show up on my blog summary page but not in the individual posts. Disabling Yoast SEO corrected the issue.
