I have been using the plugin Simple Photoswipe for a long time and really appreciate it being continued again. Simple functionality and quick loadtime for the pictures are strong features. Only missing the Share button from the older version. It was placed between “Zoom In/Out” and “Toggle Fullscreen” It had links to Facebook/Twitter/Pinterest and, perhaps most needed for me, a download link. I know that users may have that option by right-click and Save as but I liked the variety and ability to make a direct share on social media from that button.

The “Share” button is also included in PhotoSwipe – I just didn’t have time yet to include it the plugin yet. I plan to add configuration options in the backend which also includes the “Share” button. I just don’t yet, how long it will take, as I am a bit busy at the moment.

OK. I can wait – and the back-end configuration would be yet another strong option. I have scrolled through the .php files from Simple Photoswipe and must say, that it′s not quite that easy to implement share buttons as I thought. Great to know that you are working on this plugin to continue and being up-to-date. Thanks a lot!

Release 1.30 and later will include the standard “Share” options as well (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Download).

Beginning with Release 1.40 the share options can be disabled in the backend as well ;-).
