Share buttons does not display Counting anymore

We recently deprecated the Simple Share Buttons Plus product.

From now on we are using all our resources to improve our free plugin Simple Share Buttons Adder.

It does not work @andressharethis. All counters display 0 when there are many sharing since before.

Is the API down or is something else happening?

Have you changed any of your site’s URL by any chance?

I do ask you this as our Share Counter is tied to your site’s URLs and if there are any changes on any of your URLs then, your counts for that specific URL will be reset and then the Share Count for that specific URL will start from zero.

With that in mind, can you please double check that for me and as well provide me with the URLs which are being affected by this on your end?

No url changes have been made at all. The URL’s that are beeing affected are every url on the site.

To be more specific the LinkedIn Counter is the most important that is displaying 0 despite there being multiple sharings on linkedin.

The twitter Counter does not work on any at all and is not that important.

The Facebook Counter is the obly one working on all urls.

Is there any change to the LinkedIn API?

Here only some examples of url’s where the LinkedIn display 0 despite of there beeing multiple sharings:

Can you please try updating your plugin’s version in case it isn’t still updated to the latest version on your side?

In case it is already updated, can you please try to deactivate and delete your Simple Share Buttons adder through your plugins manager within your WordPress dashboard for you to be able to reinstall it in order for a new configuration to be pushed onto your side?

The plugin version is the latest. I have just tried to delete, reinstall and reconfigure and still it is the same. The LinkedIn counter does work.

I do apologize for all the inconvenience you may have been through and wanted to let you know that LinkedIn deprecated from counting shares and that is the main reason why the Share Counter for LinkedIn isn’t displaying any shares.

However, we are always looking to improve our plugin and will take this into consideration on the next update, we agree that more sharing buttons need to be added!
