• I am no longer able to see the share count for pinterest saves from any posts on our site. I confirmed settings are correct and the boxes are checked to:
    1. show share count
    2. show total share count

    Please advise.
    Thanks.

  • Hey @sargranger

Thanks so much for reaching out! If at all possible, could you send over a couple of links to posts that should have Pinterest shares that aren’t showing?

Additionally, within the settings for each sharing widget there’s a minimum individual share count and minimum global share count. Can you make sure both of those fields are empty?

Here are some links that have social shares, but they’re not calculating:

    https://cookthink.com/outback-mac-and-cheese/

    https://cookthink.com/double-dip-french-toast-recipe/

    https://cookthink.com/banquet-pot-pie/

There are many more as well!

I have confirmed that the settings for the sharing widget is blank for individual share count and minimum global share count. Thank you for your assistance.

    Hey @sargranger,

Thanks so much for getting back to us with those examples! I do see that those posts should have some share counts pulled into the plugin. One thing I did notice is that it looks like Grow Social is being optimized by Autoptimize.

I haven’t quite seen something like this happen with optimization plugins, but it may be worth trying to exclude Grow Social from being optimized to see if that happens to help things along.

Would you be able to follow the steps in this guide here and then let us know once that’s done?

I have followed the steps in the guide to create the exclusion for Grow Social to not be optimized. I have saved and cleared cache. Please advise.

    Hey @sargranger,

That’s still pretty odd. If at all possible, would you be able to shoot an email over to our support team at [email protected]?

If so, feel free to let them know we sent you over there. ??

I have sent the suggested email to support. Thank you.

I was able to resolve the issue of the share count no calculating by running a plugin update. We are now on version 1.19.1. The new issue is: when a user tries to share to pinterest, it only provides the FIRST image in a post as the option of the graphic to be pinned.

We would like ANY image in the post to be able to be selected as a pin. Is it possible to resolve this issue?

    Thanks.

    Hey @sargranger,

So sorry for the delay on this one, not sure how I missed it. With the latest version we are aware of an issue where it only pins the first image in the post in the latest version.

We don’t yet have a way of fixing that without rolling the plugin back (you can give that a shot if you’d like) but we do have a planned fix for our next release to address that particular issue.
