share counts drop after redirection?

Hi!

I have a redirection set up for my old posts, for example https://www.thelazybroccoli.com/recipe/easiest-vegan-cream-mushroom-soup/ has been redirected to https://www.thelazybroccoli.com/easiest-vegan-cream-mushroom-soup/.

This recipe did pretty well on Pinterest with over 3k+ shares, but it doesn’t show up in the counts. I suspect it’s the redirection because the pin was directed to the old link with the /recipe/ in the URL. Do you have any idea how to recover the shares that are pointing to the old URL?
