    Hi…

When integrating social share buttons into an existing theme using php do_shortcode one ends up with both the original interface which hooks the post/page as well as the interface from the shortcode.

If one disabled the interface then one gets neither.

Whilst not a bug it is sorta a bug. As if someone wants use the shortcode they probably but not necessarily do not want use the post/page hook interface. Probably ought be an option in the setup to disable page/post interface without disabling the shortcode interface.

Where does one unhook the auto attachment to posts/pages?

    Hi,

If you disable Page/Post in Sharing Location option, only the interface generated from shortcode will appear.

Ooo… Ok, as I just hacked the php file stuffin’ a $disable=1; in it.

Few other things you might want consider:

    1. The login followed by “Email Pop Up”. Popup needs its own styling as it will inherit the forms stuff from the theme.

2. The “More” sharing options needs the hover help text to say “More sharing options .vs. just more. In fact, it should probably say “More” on the Icon .vs. the share image or perhaps if someone slaps a file in someplace it looks for it. I realize, upload code for one icon is eDiculous. I personally would not have went with svg file in as far as the rendered user interface. For the pop up, fine. But for sake of the webmasters trying to make things match a theme look/feel, its really (imho) better to allow the webmaster to use PNG’s. They will cache in the browser albeit less efficient.

If you look at msunites.com you will see what I mean.

Problem with this stuff is if I replace the SVG stuff then when updates happen etc… Phhht.

    3. Same being true for the login images.

    4. The vertical interface. If you look at most vertical share interfaces they float pretty bold icons may or may not have a slide-in/slide out interface. Icons make it look clean and easy to integrate.

I am sure there is more I will come up with. But all and all this is the best social plugin out there. Good work. The code is decent too which is refreshing.

Ooo… also if one does not select a “share” for the interface (at least print or email etc) the “More Shares” wont appear.

A click off the popup (vs the closure button) should also close the popup.

Do note, our site has been heavily modified, only been live online for 12 weeks as we required real accessibility to content. Hence the site using two themes, getting caching plugin working across it all was ghastly.

Thanks for your feedback. We will improve these things in future releases.
