Share This and Popularity Contest

Is there any way to post the Share This and Popularity contest on the same line? Right now, even if I edit my theme, the php automatically inserts them with a line break before and after, and the formatting in the zip file was messed up, so I can’t find anything in the original file. Any thoughts?
