When someone clicks on the Shareaholic Stumbleupon link, Chrome intercepts the
request and displays a tiny shield in the window that when clicked says “This page is trying to load scripts from unauthorized sources”. There are two link options: “Load unsafe scripts” and “Learn More”.

The “Load Unsafe Scripts” doesn’t work for me.

I guess everyone using Chrome is going to see this message and be unable to share to Stumbleupon.

Even if there is some way to disable this checking on my version of Chrome, that isn’t the solution because what matters is that everyone will see the “unsafe script” message and be unable to submit my articles to Stumbleupon.

@beggers thanks for the heads up. I was not able to replicate the issue but have updated the StumbleUpon share link to point to HTTPS (it used to point to HTTP version). Can you try again to see if it resolved the issue for you?

No, unfortunately I still have the problem. I tried it again on an old post and also on a brand new post. I can see that you’re calling https now but still no success.

I also upgraded Chrome to the latest version and that didn’t help either.

I think I see what you’re seeing. The “Load Unsafe Scripts” icon shows up in the StumbleUpon pop-up. This is because that pop-up is trying to load code from a non-HTTPS domain. This form is hosted and controlled by StumbleUpon unfortunately. They would need to fix it on their end.

@beggers This would be worth filing a bug with StumbleUpon. Has nothing to do with Shareaholic.
