• I’m having an issue with my share button even if I don’t use the share button and take the address and pop it into Facebook the description that shows has a duplicate date and my name is duplicating in the post. There has to be something in the WordPress that’s causing it. I have only completed one post so far, my website is https://www.butterflychatter.com If you go to the latest news and click on the post ‘And so it begins’ then go to the bottom to share or even take the address from the top and put it on FB my name and the date is showing as duplicate. I would so appreciate it if someone can help with this.

  • It’s not WordPress’ fault. If you look at the page, you can see your name appears twice, and if you view source code, you can see the date appears twice. You need to speak to your web developers – assuming you didn’t do it as there is a link to a company at the bottom.

Hi Kirsten – i appreciate your assistance and the answer to my question. i actually got the template from godaddy.com and it was in a bulk of free templates available to use. i just emailed the creator of the template..if they dont respond i will have to search for a developer to fix it.

    Thank you for your help,
    Adrian

Good luck. You might want to try one of the themes from here, as they are all tested and reviewed before they’re listed, and the theme authors are usually around to assist too.

looking through these templates the one i have is on this site as well..

Oh dear. Do you have any plugins installed? To see if one of them is causing it, try disabling any plugins.

Straight out of the box WordPress with one of the themes that came with it, or any from here, that should not happen.
