Sharing our posts on facebook won’t show image or title

  • On sharing our wordpress posts, a problem started occuring a few days ago – facebook doesn’t show the correct title of the post, nor the featured image (despite them being all defined).

    The facebook debugger shows this error:
    Could Not Connect To Server- Check that the webserver is running, and that there are no firewalls blocking Facebook’s crawlers.
    And a few other errors (see below) despite those properties clearly existing in the HTML Source.

    Missing Required Property The ‘og:type’ property is required, but not present.
    Inferred Property The ‘og:url’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
    Share App ID Missing The ‘fb:app_id’ property should be explicitly provided, Specify

    It is true that the app_id appears twice in two different places in the HTML Source (same ID) we don’t know why.

    However… when we try to share the same link in the https:// format, it goes through facebook debugger with no errors. Why?

    I tested the page you shared and things seem to be working fine at my end.
    You`re already using Yoast SEO plugin which generates the og data for Facebook:

    How are things going at your end? Still having issues?

    Thanks for replying. No, it still doesn’t work. Some other people report as you do that it works for them, but not for our group of people (we’ve tried different Wifis and Pc’s)
