sharing to facebook

  • I would like my blog posts to automatically post to my face book page and I would like to add some sharing buttons that would show up under my posts. on the .com site under settings there is a sharing page on .org there isn’t. I am very new to this and it is all a little confusing. I don’t know if I should have picked a different theme that is better for a beginner so its mostly all there.

  • You need to use a plugin for this – if you’re moving from .COM, JetPack plugin adds many of the .COM features, including this – see:

    Thank you that does look like what I want. The redme file says you need a wordpress.com site I think I have a .org site. I do not use the free site. I am not moving an existing site this is a new one I am using for my personal site. Sorry I really haven’t clue what I am doing. I was hoping to get help form friends but they have the free site. If this is the right thing how do I install it on the site?

    Yep, JetPack uses functionality/servers from WordPress.COM, so you do need a user account there – but your site’s still self-hosted (.org). It’s not hard to set up – see:

    Thank you. I see I can get it from my dashboard. when I sign up for a .com blog. Will it show on the internet?
