    All of my items include shipping in the cost. As such, I want to disable the shipping line item from the check out page. Easy enough, I can disable that, but when I do, it removes the option of entering a separate shipping address from the billing address on the check out page. I still want the option to setup a different shipping address as sometimes they are different. Is this possible?

    I know the option exists to enter a shipping rate of $0, but that is confusing as it says shipping is free but they will see in each item that shipping is being charged at the product line item level.

    Hi @thelapara,

    If I understand you correctly you’ve increased the cost of your products to account for shipping i.e. for a product that costs $10 and cost $5 to ship, you have set the product cost to $15.

    If that is the case, then you can use the Free shipping method – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/free-shipping/, so that shipping is free i.e. they don’t get charged an additional amount for shipping.

    Otherwise, you should use the Flat rate shipping method – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/flat-rate-shipping/, to handle your shipping costs instead of bundling those costs with the product price.

    Thank you for the reply. I am aware of those options but what I would like to do is just remove the shipping field while still allowing a shipping address. If this is not possible I will probably have to go the route you are talking about, I just thought it seemed logical to have this option.

    @thelapara,

    If you mark a product as virtual then it does not require shipping and therefore a shipping address is redundant.

    You can’t say that a product does not require shipping but still provide a way to specify a shipping address.

    @thelapara,

    We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
