    Hello,
a customer buys an article via paypal standard. The shipping address is sent from wordpress to paypal. In paypal it is possible now to change the shipping address (if “address_override” is like recommed disabled). Now the customer changes the address and believes that the articles goes to the changed address. But the new shippig address is not sent to the wordpress backend. Is this the normal behaviour? Or is there something wrong with woocommerce settings? I think this results in wrong delieveries of the articles and is not very userful. Can you please help me here?
    Thanks very much

    EDIT:
In the settings I have activated “Send delivery address instead of billing address”, and the delivery address of WordPress appears in Paypal. There is no problem if the delivery address is not changed in paypal. But if someone changes the delivery address in Paypal, the delivery address in Paypal and in the WordPress backend is not consistent.

    Hey there,

Yes, this is normal behavior. All of the order information is managed by WooCommerce; PayPal is meant to just handle the payment side of things. Anything changed in PayPal won’t be sent back to WooCommerce. That’s also why we recommend not setting any kind of shipping info in PayPal, as WooCommerce handles all of it – having some settings in each system just makes things confusing.

To cover if a customer makes changes in PayPal, I’d recommend adding this to your site’s terms and conditions: all information is handled in WooCommerce and changes made to a PayPal account won’t be taken into account.

I hope that helps you in the right direction!

Ok, thanks very much for the information. I think I will try try to set the “allow override” option. If this results in too much errors, I will add the information for the user to the checkout page.
