    Hello,

today I noticed the following scenario:

A customer selects “Ship to a different address” when ordering, enters a shipping address and submits the order, but then cancels the payment to select another payment method and is redirected back to checkout. Now the check mark for “Ship to another address” is automatically removed again and the shipping address would have to be re-entered. The customer does not notice this because the original billing/delivery address is still entered and sends the order, which is then delivered to the wrong address.

Is it possible to change this? If so, how?

    Hi there @wly81 ??

Shipping adress reset after canceling payment to change payment option

Is it possible to change this? If so, how?

I understand you are having an issue where your customers can check out with the billing addresses and shipping addresses being the same, but you would like the “Ship to a different address” option to be checked by default.

By default, the shipping address fields tend to be hidden, but you can ‘check’ a checkbox to show them and ship to a different address. As in most cases, the billing and shipping addresses are the same – WooCommerce then copies over that billing address to the shipping address.

I’d recommend against forcing people to fill in their address twice. If you’d still like to do it, here’s a bit of background on how to get started:

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know. We’re happy to help.
