Currently we have shipping set up as Minimum Order is £20.00 and then £3.99 for all orders till £50.00….(UK Shipping)

    Kindly confirm:
A)With a new shipper we would like to put rate bands based on the region, for instance England x rate, Wales y rate, Scotland z rate etc (retaining the minimum order value).
B)Is it possible to put in different zones, like Zone A (to have a range of post codes), Zone B (range of post codes), and so on.
if the above are possible with Flexible Shipping.
    Thank you.

    Hi @wpusr1,

The shipping zones setup you’ve attached should be possible to configure in WooCommerce by default. I believe that this guide on UK shipping zones configuration I wrote some time ago might turn out to be useful in this case:

    Hi @lusp,

Went through your helpful shipping zone configuration tutorial.
If there is a range of post codes, like our
    zone B has
    AB1 to AB16
    &
    AB21 to AB25
    how do we specify it?
Can I use AB21…AB25 or AB21-AB25 etc.. or do I have to list it one by one, each on a separate line.

    Kindly confirm.
    Thanks a lot..

    Hi @wpusr1,

Since AB25 is not the full UK postcode and it has also a second part e.g. AB25 2TH, I’m afraid that using the ranges you’ve mentioned above (AB21…AB25) won’t be effective. It would have work if the postcode had consisted of the numbers only e.g. 1001…1025, etc.

In your case I’d rather go for listing the postcodes in the separate lines using the wildcards this way:

    AB21*
    AB22*
    AB23*
    AB24*
    AB25*
    etc.

    Kind regards,
    Luke

    Hi @lusp,

All UK postcodes which comes under zone A has
    G*
and Channel Island in zone D had
    GY1*, GY2* and so on.
My doubt is won’t G* include GY1* etc. also?
Do I have to remove G* from zone A for it to work correctly?
    Kindly let me know.
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi @wpusr1,

Yes, I confirm, the wider G* wildcard will include the more specific GY1* one. The key to make it work properly here is the right shipping zones order. You should place the shipping zones using the narrower GY1*, etc. wildcards above the ones configured to cover the wider G* postcodes in order to make them be matched first.

    Kind regards,
    Luke

    Thanks a lot @lusp.
    Really appreciate your help.

So, shipping zones are matched in the order it is present in Dashboard->WooCommerce-> shipping zones
ie., in my case, if it’s present in the order
    Zone 2
    Zone 1
Zone 3 .. and so on
post codes in zone 2 will be matched first.

    Kindly confirm.
Again apologies.., just making sure that I got it right.

    Thank you,
    Best regards..

Yes, you should order the shippings zones starting from the ones containing the most specific wildcards at the very top to the most general at the bottom.

In other words, if your shipping zone called Zone 2 contains GY1* wildcard, it should be placed higher than e.g. Zone 3 containing the G* one.

If configured this way, the Zone 2 with more specific GY1* wildcard will be matched first when the customer enters the right postcode.

    Kind regards,
    Luke
