This is REALLY annoying: the shipping calculator stopped working after updating the E-Commerce plugin. I’m using the “Weight / Country and Region Shipping” module to calculate the shipping cost per country.

Nothing happens though when selecting a country. Customers cannot continue to checkout.

    Anyone got a resolution?

  • Hello,

I have put your issue into the WPeC issue database here .

Will take a look and see if we can get a resolution for you.

    Thanks for the report!

@handjes I have been trying to recreate the problem you reported but not having much luck. Can you point me to the site that is having a problem?

    I have the same problem.

The shipping calculator does not work. You can see my problem at

    https://www.lesvoscalendars.eu

Same here. How do I revert back?

    https://www.rockonmusicaz.com/e-store/

I have just rolled back to v 3.8.12.1 so disregard seeing the problem on my site. Shipping options work again. I’m staying where I am until this is fixed.

How embarrassing? A shopping plugin that won’t let customers buy anything!!!

You need to step up to the mark people or I am off to woocommerce. I suspect I will not be alone.

^^^^^ if my paid layout worked with woocommerce, I would follow right behind you.

If anyone here is still having this issue, I’d be more than happy to help debug the problem. Feel free to email me at justinsainton at gmail dot com and I’ll help identify the problem and get it resolved for you.

If we can help get it resolved for you, we’ll have a 3.8.14.1 release out on Monday that will resolve it for anyone else encountering this issue.

@robin and @krammet we would really like your help identifying the issue that you are seeing.

How can we get some more information on your configurations? if you want to provide temporary admin credentials so that we can take a look at your site setup I’m sure we could help identify if this is an issue with WPeC, configuration, or something else. I can be reached at jeff at pyebrook dot com

Thanks for helping us track down the source of the issue

I did some more testing and found out that choosing a different shipping calculation doesn’t matter at all. In fact, even when disabling shipping leaves the ‘Select a country’ option list visible. In neither case selecting a country works though.

So probably it has nothing to do with “Weight / Country and Region Shipping” or any other means of shipping, but is it a general failure of the shipping functionality.

I switched back to the old version so for now it works.

I can’t point you to my site, because we put back the old backup immediately. Our shop needs to work ?? .

    @justin and @pyebrook

I just emailed you both with temp admin access. Please help asap!!

    @krammet

I looked at your stores settings and i did the first thing that ANYONE should normally do to debug.

Disable all plugins besides WP e-Commerce and Gold Cart if available.
Just doing that and your calculator is working again.
This looks like you are having a conflict with another plugin. You will have to disable all plugins and enable them one by one while checking after each plugin activation to see if the calculator still works.

Also you might want to try changing to the default 2010 theme from wordpress and see if it works in that. If it does then its something with your theme.

I looked on the themes vendors page and i don`t see any references of it being compatible with the latest WP e-Commerce version and not even a mention of WordPress 3.9 compatibility so you might want to talk to the theme creator too.
I`ve seen a few javascript issues too cause by the theme.

This is valid for everyone else out there that is having issues.
First thing disable all plugins and change to a WordPress theme (2010 preffered).
If it works in that then its your theme or a plugin conflict thats causing the issues.

ok ty…I REALLY hope its not my PAID theme. Cause if so, thats $55 out the window and I will have to start from scratch.

You can contact the theme developers and check for an update for the theme.

    my tax does not work?
