In a full list of products I check the All checkbox and then select Edit under Bulk options. I go to Shipping Classes but it says none available. However, I have previously set up a class called Australia as Flat Rate and now want to do Flat Rate per Item as per documentation. But with no shipping class listed I cannot proceed.

  • You are writing about shipping classes or shipping zones and shipping methods?

Right, need to create shipping classes first at WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Shipping Classes. More info here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/product-shipping-classes/

Apologies to all: Subject should read, SHIPPING CLASSES NOT SHOWING IN PRODUCTS.

Caleb, the Shipping Class has been set up under the Shipping tab. It is not showing in any product or when viewing all products with bulk action of Edit.

I changed the theme to Twenty Seventeen and still not showing. (I’m using an Avada theme (child).

    KursorA: Shipping classes.

    Thanks,
    Peter

    Hey Peter,

So you cannot select a shipping class when editing a product here: https://cld.wthms.co/bEBab6? And you are sure shipping is enabled and the product is not virtual?

Also shows in quick edit for me: https://cld.wthms.co/jSgW6h

If you cannot select a shipping class, even for a newly created non-virtual product, then there must be something causing a conflict. Need to temporarily disable all other plugins except for WooCommerce for testing.

Caleb, thanks for your reply. Yes, shipping is enabled and the product is not virtual. In Quick Edit it shows No Shipping Classes or something like that.

You’ve come to the same conclusion I have, that there is a rogue plugin affecting WooCommerce. Thanks. I’ll get our webmaster to track it down.
