I am creating a marketplace and I am using dokan as a platform to create several vendors.
Now doing some tests I came across that the shipping cost is only making one vendor.
What I mean is, if my order has more than one vendor, I have to calculate shipping for each order, for example:
    Vendor A – Product A
    Vendor B – Product B
    Shipping Cost – 5 €

    Checkout: Product A + 5 € + Product B + 5 €

And what is happening right now is:
    Product A + Product B + 5 €

And I don’t want this to happen, there has to be a shipping cost for each vendor.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @ajnetnet,

To be honest we haven’t tested our Flexible Shipping plugin yet if it is fully compatible with Dokan, however, as far as I remember we’ve been notified about some minor problems with creating the shipping classes and assigning them to the specific vendors to make only their shipping methods be displayed, which fits what you described. The problem was only the shop admin was able to manage them and the specific vendors were not. Maintaining the compatibility with the marketplace-type plugins is already included in our future development roadmap and the implementation schedule for this year. We’ll keep you informed on this matter when we get the things moving forward.

    Kind regards,

But I do not want the other suppliers to handle the shipping part, only the administrator has to handle

If so, I believe you should assign the different shipping class to the products sold by each vendor. Then e.g. if the Product A has a Vendor A shipping class assigned which shipping cost is 4€ and Product B has a Vendor B shipping class assigned which shipping cost amounts to 5€, their shipping cost should be summed up giving 9€ total.

However, please mind that the shipping classes are supported in the PRO version of our Flexible Shipping plugin and this forum is dedicated to the free one.

We cannot create shipping costs for each supplier, we have to say that all suppliers have that shipping cost

I’m afraid that unfortunately assigning the shipping classes to all the products according to the vendor who’s selling them I mentioned in the post above is the only way how it can be solved at the moment if the shipping cost needs to vary.

However, if the shipping cost needs to be calculated per item and must remain the same for all the vendors, you can also define the rules based on item (When: Item) and set them to charge the customers 5€ per each one item in the cart.

Since there are no further inquiries concerning this case I’m marking this thread as resolved.

    Kind regards,
    Luke
