Shipping cost including VAT

    Hi,

    my website is set to enter prices including TAX (VAT).

    However with flexible shipping it does not accept these settings and I must manually enter all prices in flexible shipping without tax in order to display it properly to customers.

    This is causing major issues since my eshop is connected to external invoicing and accounting software and rounding becomes an issue when part of the items are already with tax included and shipping is with tax excluded with tax being calculated differently.

    Is it possible so the flexible shipping respects the general tax settings of the woocommerce?

    Hi,

    In WooCommerce, the shipping cost is always entered without tax (you can check this on the Flat Rate shipping method). The tax calculation is done by WooCommerce or other plugins.

    In Flexible Shipping, you can only specify whether a given shipping method is taxable. WooCommerce handles the calculation of the tax amount.

    that is unfortunate. Would definitely be a good idea if something like this would be implemented, at least in a premium version.

    For a seller who is acustomed to enter prices inclusive TAX it is very time consuming to calculate each tax exclusive price for the partiular shipping table. This obviously is not only causing exhausting work but also problems with various rounding and other related issues.

    Hi @densitysk,

    As Grzegorz explained earlier due to the fact that the issue concerns the default WooCommerce settings and there are no further inquiries concerning this case I’m marking this thread as resolved for now.

    Regarding the new plugin feature, which should allow you to enter shipping costs including tax – it is currently in the testing phase and will be available in one of the upcoming updates.

    We will inform you when it is available.

    I’m glad to inform you that we have just released the Flexible Shipping 4.8.0 update containing a new feature, that allows you to choose between adding shipping costs with or without tax.

    If the WordPress updater hasn’t informed you about the newer versions available, please check for the updates manually by choosing the Dashboard tab > Updates > Check Again option.
