shipping costs and duties

  • Do real-time shipping costs, for example from Italy to the UK, include customs duties or other border charges?

    Here is an answer we got from UPS directly

    `With regards to the API you will see the following code

    <Disclaimer>

    <Description>Additional duties/taxes may apply and are not reflected in the total amount due.</Description>

    There is an indicator for that I think also in the Landed Cost API. The default in the shipping API and also Rating API is that the shipper pays transportation and receiver pays D&T, so it is not shown on the API since it is done from the Shipper’s perspective.`

    We’re not utilizing the Landed Cost API but only the Shipping and Rating API of UPS.
