But there isn’t any error, wordpress doesn’t send shipping emails out of the box. I’m trying to figure out how to get that triggered as that’s not something that just happens.

Thanks but that doesn’t help point me in the right direction. My problem doesn’t relate to that plugin at all – that plugin was inactive and it’s since been delated. I’m simply trying to figure out how to trigger an email when a shipment is complete using chit chats (not their plugin, but their website which integrates with woocommerce but doesn’t send out emails).

I don’t know how to get an email triggered to send out to customers so they know it’s been shipped and what the tracking number is.

Going back to your original inquiry, I understand that you want to send an email to your customers once the order has been shipped using the ChitChats Shipping for WooCommerce plugin, correct?

By default, WooCommerce only provides the Completed order Email for customers when their orders are marked completed and usually indicates that their orders have been shipped. You can check it under WooCommerce > Settings > Emails. Since you would like to customize how this template is structured, I found this article on How to Customize WooCommerce Emails could be a good starting point.
