    Dear all,

we are really frustating about last updates…Step by Step…..

About emails for shipping updates, for EU compliance we have to send all emails with our own smtp server – still like before your update. So we really hard need soon as possible back the standard wp_mail() function from WordPress like before.

I know most of your users are from Shopify and thats okay if they are Non-Tech-Professionals like we are from WordPress-Community. But to remove standard things from WordPress like wp_mail() function is hard, we all really hate things like this and thats not standard in our WordPress-Community – because it destroys our workflows and this decision its fully useless!

Btw. do you know about E-Mail Spam score?! The way at the moment is terrible, it is so important to have 100% inbox rate for shipping mails AND we do track all our emails and own unsubscribe full-list portal and and and…

Hopeful the wp_mail() comes soon as possible, for us Parcel Panel is useless with that for multiple shops now ??

    Kind Regards;
    Kriss

    Hi Kriss,
This is ParcelPanel Support Jessie. Thank you for reaching out to us, hope you’re doing well.

In fact, we have not removed the function of ParcelPanel shipping email notifications in WooCommerce (It should be [the standard wp_mail() from WordPress] function). We have retained this functionality for existing users who were using this feature prior to October 31st. If you using this function on October 31st, you can still find it in your WooCommerce settings → Email, just as it was before. The settings remain unchanged, and you can access them easily.

Navigate to WooCommerce adminSettings tab → Emails

We have also implemented banners and emails and help documentation to guide users, as shown in the image below:

Please note that if you have set up the same shipping notifications in both WooCommerce and ParcelPanel, emails will be sent redundantly.?Learn more.

If, by any chance, you happened to test the settings on October 31st and accidentally turned off all the settings. Please do not hesitate to contact our support team, and our technical experts will assist you in restoring the settings to their previous state.

Finally, about why we specialize in shipping notifications sent by ParcelPanel itself.
We understand the differences and commonalities between users on both platforms of the fence, and we wanted to bring a simpler and easier experience for users to be able to customize their email templates while also being able to send emails easily. Of course, we also keep an eye on the probability of our emails being sent to spam and do our best to avoid this.

Thank you for your continued support!

    Best regards,
    ParcelPanel order tracking
    Jessie

Why this is so much hidden. So iam sure, customers received last 2 days double of e-mails? Because hidden old emails and new emails, what the hell… If you do something the replace it fully, not half.

Guys common, who whas the developer here? Make it more clearify in your Parcel Panel settings, give us ALL the option to send only wp_mail(). Dont do hide settings who nobody expect it anymore.

Please add easy a option: 1. send mails via wp_mail() or 2. send mails via your bad server.

For all new websites I still need to send wp_mail(), so I cant make different it is from 31.10 or not wtf. Please guys wake up and fix this now asap!

I understand now, you want to collect all our customer e-mails with sending over your own server?

This is why DSGVO say this is illegal, it is illegal to catch this way e-mails! I read in your reviews about bad eu compliance and ways you collect our e-mails to spam us.

Guys, we are a friendly wordpress-community and we pay plans every month, so dont be criminal to collect emails this way. Bring wp_mail standard back and make you eu compliance ready now without hidden ways to collect emails

Same here too. We rolled back our backup to last previous version.

    Hi Kriss,

We appreciate your feedback and would like to address the issues you’ve raised regarding Parcel Panel’s email settings.
For question 1: Have your customers received double the number of emails in the last two days?
No! Of course not! We want to assure you that Parcel Panel’s shipping notifications settings are defaulted to be turned off. We do not make choices on your behalf, and these settings are entirely optional. Parcel Panel does not send duplicate emails without user consent.

For question 2: Please add easy a option: 1. send mails via wp_mail() or 2. send mails via your bad server.
Yes, that’s exactly what we’ve done! Users have the freedom to choose between sending emails via the standard WordPress function (wp_mail()) or using Parcel Panel’s email server. We have not hidden this option: it can be found in the WooCommerce settings section. No settings have been altered; you can locate the option there. We just removed the shortcut to jump from PP to this page.??

Of course, it may be that our hints are not obvious enough, we’ll follow up by adding a fixed strong reminder on it to direct users to the woocommerce to set it up.

For question 3: ?Parcel Panel want to collect all our customer e-mails with sending over your own server?
Rest assured, Parcel Panel does not engage in any illegal collection of customer emails. We respect user privacy and strictly adhere to legal guidelines. If you choose to enable specific settings, Parcel Panel may send notifications related to Parcel Panel’s shipping notifications. We provide strong warnings before enabling any such settings. These settings are entirely optional, and the user has full control.

For question 4: ?Regarding Allegations of Illegitimacy and Non-compliance with EU Standards
Before plugin download, users are presented with prompts and links to our?privacy policy?in the plugin description, Installation page, and on our official website.?
However, some users mentioned that these tips were not obvious, so in the new version, we have added a special privacy authorization page.
After the new version goes online, all new users will receive a privacy authorization page before using Parcel Panel. If no authorization is obtained, we will not obtain any information or provide any services.

Additionally, all user data is securely encrypted and stored. We are committed to user safety and will never engage in any activity that harms our users.

For question 5: ?On November 1st, our server crashed resulting in a poor user experience
Yes, this issue is our responsibilitye, we are very sorry and willing to compensate the ssubscribers who suffered losses. Also, the details of the situation and subsequent solutions are described on this page.
We are deeply reflecting on this incident and will strengthen our management to prevent this happening again.

For question 6: ?Who was the developer here?
I’m Jessie, Head of Customer Support, I talk directly to the dev team, all information I send out is vetted by the dev team, you can trust what I say completely.

If you have further concerns or if there’s anything else we can assist you with, please feel free to contact us.

    Best regards,
    ParcelPanel order tracking
    Jessie
