    Hi,

I’ve been looking into lots of plugins and so far I’m beginning to wonder if what I’m wanting isn’t possible.

I have a website that sells a variety of products. I would like to offer both a flat rate fee AND Australia Post Shipping (live at checkout). My problem is the following:

I would like to only assign Australia Post Shipping to my Heavy Products. I’ve created a shipping class but I don’t think my current plugin can assign a shipping class to Australia Post. The other issue is, when it’s a heavy product, I don’t want flat rate shipping displayed. Also when it’s any other product (not heavy) I only want flat rate visible and not Australia Post.

I haven’t even started looking into when the customer gets both a normal product and a heavy product, if that’s the case, I’d like it to display Australia Post shipping.

I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide!

    Hi @kimmi_baby

It sounds like you need a more advanced shipping plugin that can handle your specific needs. One plugin that comes to mind is the WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping plugin. It allows you to create different shipping rates based on various conditions such as product weight, shipping class, etc. It also allows you to hide other shipping methods when free shipping is available, which can be helpful for your heavy products scenario.

However, you might need to use the WooCommerce Australia Post Shipping Method plugin. It integrates with Australia Post’s API to fetch live shipping rates and supports shipping classes.

In cases where a customer orders both a normal and a heavy product, the Australia Post Shipping Method plugin can calculate and display the correct shipping cost at checkout.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
