• Hi there

My shipping rates work for countries but once i select a postcode within the UK i get this “There are no shipping methods available. Please check your address or contact us if you need any help.” I do have a default price for the REST OF THE WORLD but of course for the UK thats not the price of delivery

All post codes have been configured for UK mainland and UK Highlands and Islands and are listed 1 per line like this:

    AB10
    AB56
    B20
    B64
    BA7
    BD7

What am i doing wrong here?

  • Don’t know if I’m looking in the same place but the advice I see is: “Separate codes with a comma. Accepts wildcards, e.g. P* will match a postcode of PE30.”

within the admin area i see this hint:
    ‘List 1 code per line’

This works when i choose a uk mainland postcode but when i choose a uk highlands post code it doesnt work. to get round it i have had to stick the uk highland town in the country list. Then when the postcode and ‘country’ are inserted it works fine. I don’t think thats how it should be. I don’ think i can use the * after the letter just incase the postcode is outside the uk mainland.

still having problems with the delivery charges for 2 different categories. there doesnt seem to be plugin that deals with that

I am surprised there is no plugin for category based shipping: if you have 1 item from Cat A it costs £10 to ship, then every added item in Cat A is £5.00. for Cat B the shipping could be £20 then every other addition in Cat B is £7.50.

Is there nothing for that at all?

I found a plugin that deals with different category prices but unfortunately it doesnt deal with combined categories. This will do for now though. The plug in is called Woocommerce Advanced Shipping.

Postcodes are still a problem. Even when i put 1 postcode in and then use that postcode in the shop it doesnt recognise it. What good is that?

Did this get resolved? I’m trying to use this to exclude certain UK postcodes, e.g. Highlands and Islands of Scotland. I have a comma separated list such as AB31, AB32, AB33, AB34, etc which does not work. I have even entered my own postcode of LL51 9UJ and the transaction is still allowed. Any documentation is in Spanish. Has anyone in the UK used it – looks like rubbish if it doesnt work .
