Hello — We have several shipping options. How I can ensure that only one shows for certain products?

Another question I have is if shipping options can be available by user role. I’d loev to be able to set free shipping for one set of users and paid for another.

    Hi there,

We have several shipping options. How I can ensure that only one shows for certain products?

For this, you’ll want to look into a WooCommerce extension called Conditional Shipping and Payments. This extension will allow you to control which shipping methods (and payment gateways) are available based on the content of your customer’s cart.

Another question I have is if shipping options can be available by user role. I’d loev to be able to set free shipping for one set of users and paid for another.

Sure! For this, using an extension like WooCommerce Role-Based Shipping/Payment Methods should do the trick! This will limit which payment methods are availabe based on the user’s role.

Awesome thanks rossviviano…one question though in documentation for “Conditional Shipping and Payments” it says two of the conditions are as followed:

Customer:In effect if the current customer’s e-mail is (or is not) found in the e-mails included here.

Customer Role– In effect if the current customer’s role is (or is not) found in the specified list of roles.

Shouldn’t this do the trick for allowing shipping for certain users…I wouldn’t want to add more plugins then I have too.

    Hi @nspeedrace

Sorry that we didn’t get back to you quicker, have you had any progress here?

You’re right – the Conditional Shipping & Payments extension will tick all the boxes you want. If you haven’t already, you can purchase it (which will give you access to our support team), then if you’re not happy, we’ll refund you within 30 days.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved. If you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
