Shipping methods not updating on checkout

    When I try to change the shipping method on the checkout page, it looks like it’s doing something but it just reverts to the previously-selected option and the cost doesn’t update.

    I have tried switching to Twenty Nineteen theme and disabling all plugins (except WooCommerce) but still the same issue. I’d happily accept either of the following fixes:

    1) That the shipping method actually changes and updates to the correct cost!
    2) The radio buttons and the un-selected option are hdiden, so only the selected shipping method plus its cost are displayed.

    I found an article (link below) which seems to hint at the first fix, but I’m not confident enough to modify it for my needs.

    Hi, how did you solve this? I am having the same issue. Shipping method can be changed in the cart but on checkout it just loads but comes back to the one selected in the cart. I tried disabling all plugins but nothing worked.

    In my case, the cause of this issue was something so simple. I’d created three different layouts for the Checkout page (for small, medium and large screens), each containing the WooCommerce shortcode that initiates the checkout form. These three identical shortcodes were effectively cancelling each other out so the basket couldn’t update.

    I felt pretty stupid but I learned a valuable lesson!
