Sometimes, but not always, the shipping amount displays but doesn’t get added to the total. This, as far as the combinations I’ve tried, only happens when an international address is selected. It also doesn’t seem to matter if there is an option of shipping method (standard or tracked) or which is selected.

You can see from the screenshot below, the subtotal is £35, the postage is showing correctly at £11.90 yet the final total is still £35. It is the same on the checkout page.

It seems fairly random what does and doesn’t do this. For example add any of the normal yarn to the basket and it works fine. Add a British Yarn Selection Box on its own, which is still in the Yarn shipping class, and it doesn’t calculate properly. Add a skein of yarn and it fixes it. Both products have the weights filled in.

Thankfully I don’t get many international orders but I really need to fix this and I’m at a loss as to what to try next.

Thank you for opening this thread. Please can you try adding a standard WooCommerce Flat Rate shipping method with some amount and check if when this problem happens it also happens with this WC method or only with the Fish and Ships ones?

    Thanks in advance,
    Carles Martin.

Thank you for your quick reply, I didn’t think of trying that. I enabled the WC flatrate and the problem still occurred so it’s likely not Fish & Ships that’s the problem.

    Glad to help!

If I were you, I would start by checking if it works well with Storefront (if you are on a live site, you can do it through the theme preview in the WP configurator). If the problem persists, you will have to disconnect plugins one by one.

    Good luck!
    Carles.

PD: Please, post here the cause of your issue when you find it, maybe can be helpful for another user ??

Thank you, I’ll start with that and make sure to post when I have it sorted.

So it turns out that the issue was caused by a plugin called Advanced Dynamic Pricing. Any products which aren’t included in the dynamic pricing don’t have shipping added correctly.

I’ve posted on their support forum here so hopefully they’ll be able to help if anyone happens to have the same specific issue.
