    Hi,

    When a customer arrives at checkout and local pick-up is an option, we would like the default option to be ‘shipping’ and to appear above ‘local pick up’. Could you advise on how to change this?

    Thanks

  • Have you defined these in the Shipping Zones page? If so you can drag/drop to set the order they appear in

    As mentioned by @seank123 above, you can drag and drop shipping methods within a zone to determine the order in which they appear on the front-end.

    By default, the first option to appear will be the one selected – so, you should put the option that you want to be the “default” method on top of all others.

    Hopefully that helps!

    Hi there,

    I have defined these in shipping zones and ordered them (i.e. shipping above, local pick up below).

    Upon testing I have found that it displays correctly on chrome, but does not display correctly on internet explorer. So would this be then classed as a browser issue?

    I would think so, yeah. What order are they displayed in when viewing from IE? Does it seem to have any logic to it – alphabetical, for example?

    What version of IE are you running? I’d like to see if I’m able to reproduce this.

    I guess it could be using an alphabetical ordering logic. It shows as follows;

    local pickup
    shipping: $00.00

    It is actually ‘microsoft edge’ (formally internet explorer). Version shows as follows;
    Microsoft Edge 44.17763.1.0
    Microsoft EdgeHTML 18.17763
    2018 Microsoft

    Hi @jvluca,

    Sorry about the wait on this. I tested with MS Edge 18 and I only see standard shipping, using the local code of THOMASTOWN VIC 3074. I tested in both Chrome and MS Edge 18, both showing just the standard shipping.

    If this is still occurring, can you give us a product and a ZIP to test that shows the Local Pickup option in the Cart? That way we can narrow this down and see what is going on.

    If this has been resolved, please let me know!

    It’s ok, we have decided to remove pick up options and only ship, so this is not an issue anymore.

    Thanks

    Hi @jvluca,

    Ah, well that makes sense as to why I could not see it. No worries – if you do choose to add it in the future and it still is an issue, let us know. I will go ahead and close this as Resolved for now, so open a new thread if needed.

    Take care!
