    Hi there,

I am looking for some support regarding Shipping options on my site. Does anyone no of a support custom magic shipping plugin? Seriously.

I sell a wide variety of items of all different sizes and weights to Britain, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

In the past I have tried the basic “out of the box” shipping options you get with woocommerce and even plugins such as “advanced “Flexible shipping by Octolize” and “WooCommerce Advanced Shipping
    By sormano”.

In short these options are all great but they do one thing uniquely that the other doesn’t, but also lack one function (maybes it’s too custom of an option) I need for them to be perfect.

Shipping Classes – calculate all shipping classes into the total shipping cost.

—This was fine but made products too expensive.

Shipping Classes – calculate shipping based on the most expensive item.

—-This didn’t work because if a customer ordered two large items we would lose out because they needed to be charged individually to ship each item i.e. a big statue.

    Plugins

These where great but you would set conditions to build your “virtual baskets” but if an item(s) went above or below the height, length, width or weight it could lock the item from having any shipping options.

For example: I could order a number of light options which would make the order bigger in size but light in weight and because the weight wasn’t within the “large letter” or “small parcel” conditions it didn’t get any shipping options at checkout. Example below is from an old support thread I had.

    ********************************************************************************************************

So the setup I shared for the UK isn’t working. See screenshot below.

    image.png

So this should be a large letter.

    The product’s dimensions are: length 0.1cm  × width 17cm  × height 18.5cm

    weight = 0.019kg

The large letter dimensions are below.

    image.png

The only clash I can see here is that two measurements (width and length) do not fit between the values. Because the weight and height fit, they must be selected.

  • Hey there, @mmk175! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

I understand you are looking for a way to make the shipping work regarding the specific shipping needs of your website.

I was not able to see the screenshots you shared, can you please share them again? I recommend using https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

Can you also please share more details about the products you ship and the needs you have for the shipping so we can assist you further?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hi @carolm29

The conditions I had in the past where as follows:

    https://prnt.sc/u2Qjt3HsxhtH

    https://prnt.sc/3uWfI8ijTC2i

    https://prnt.sc/NWVxnPtm6wSd

    https://prnt.sc/olROb1YwcXKX

    https://prnt.sc/1nQOgoQ0cXXe

These are the conditions that are perfect for royal mail but it’s like I needed further conditions for exceptions like the example I mentioned before where the size of the items would make them qualify for a small parcel but the weight being too low (because they are light items) it couldn’t be considered for any option.

Note: I am still using this plugin but not with these conditions. I just use weight related conditions (if less than 19kg) which are not ideal as they provide more than one option in some cases like the UK. The customer just needs to pick the cheapest one.

I am not sure if it’s worth anyone’s time to help me but I thought I would just try my luck before we go live as a last resort.

Sorry if this is a waste of time.

Thank you for reaching back, with further details on this @mmk175 .

What stands out in the first one, from the screenshots shared above, is the region being Africa, but the zone name is UK?

I am still using this plugin but not with these conditions.

Feel free to reach out to its support channel, as they would be in a better position to assist you. This falls outside the scope of support in this forum, I’m afraid.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.

Hi @anastas10s Yes, the inclusion of Africa at that time should be ignored. It was during a testing phase when I had multiple variations of this saved under different countries so.

Yes, I did go through a lengthy thread of support with their team (Jeroen Sormani) and they are great, the plugin is great but I think my needs where a little too much. Hench my request for recommendations for other options that anyone knows of that might be the ultimate plugin option.

    Hey, @mmk175!

Have you tried Table Rate Shipping? The Table Rate Shipping module enhances WooCommerce’s standard shipping features, offering you a wide range of highly customizable shipping options.

It also has a 30-day money-back guarantee so you can test it out ??

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful day!
