    Hello guys,

I want to escalate an issue that I have been experiencing with different sites, hosted in different places and with different plugins, from some time ago

The problem is that in zones set up with zip codes, the shipping cost is not displaying or sometimes display with only 1 digit (the decimal is set un in 2). For example, for this address in Argentina:

    PAROISSIEN 2694
    Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires
    Zip code: 1429

Displays a shipping cost of $4, when is set up in $4000

In other cases, price don′t even appear in checkout

The only way to fix tis is erasing the shipping method/cost and creating this again. However, sometimes it starts working wrong again.

    Can you pls advise?

    Hi @cugli20,

Thank you for creating and sharing the staging site with us. On that site, could you try disabling all other plugins except WooCommerce and your payment gateway plugins, and can you please try this with a default theme like Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four and see if the problem persists?

    Please let us know.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

I did all these test in this staging site (I paste again the info in case you didn’t see it)

1- Can you please head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:

    • WooCommerce transients – Clear
    • Expired transients – Clear
    • Clear template cache – Clear
    • Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
    • Clear customer sessions -Clear
    • Product lookup tables – Regenerate
    • Regenerate the product attributes lookup table – Regenerate
    • Update database – Update
    • Verify base database tables – Verify

2- I deactivated all plugins except Woocommerce

3- I deactivated all cache plugins and cleared browser caché

4- I changed the Theme for Twenty Twenty four.

5- In order to try all variables, I created a new shipping zone but using Local pick up shipping method instead of fix price.  The fix price method (listed first) is not displaying and the local price method (listed second) is displaying (See image below). However, shipping method seems not to be the issue as in other sites I put all shipping with local pick up and the issue is still happening

    The issue stills continues.

    Hello cugli20

    Thank you for your reply.

I understand you have performed all these actions to troubleshoot.
But it would be worthwhile if you could disable all other plugins except WooCommerce and payment gateway plugins. Then activate the Storefront theme and leave it like that.

This will allow us to check the staging site from our end with default settings.
Troubleshooting in the default environment is more effective as it eliminates all 3rd party interferences.

Lastly, please share the staging site’s System Status Report.
This will help me to replicate your issue on my test site.

You can find SSR via WooCommerce > Status.
Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Once you’ve done that, you can paste the text in https://gist.github.com
After that, you can paste the Gist link here in your reply.

I appreciate your patience while we work on this issue. ??

    Best regards.

    Hello,

I have already activated storefront and deactivated all plugins but Woocommerce.

After that, I tested with the following address, that is not displaying the shipping price for the zone in the production site or the staging site

    Address: Mendoza 2903

    Town: San miguel

    City: Buenos Aires

    Zip: 1663

    Here is the SSR: gist:e6c1b610c4b9096a90a7a9387383103a

    Hi @cugli20,

I just tested with the address you provided and I see the shipping costs working properly:

    Cart page:

Direct link to the image: https://snipboard.io/wzDFn8.jpg

    Checkout page:

Direct link to the image: https://snipboard.io/eKw5rf.jpg

Can you tell us if the issue persists for you? And if it does, can you share the exact steps you’re taking so we can replicate it, please? Including the product or products you’re selecting, as well as the browser you’re using.

    Thanks!

    Hello.

Nop, it’s not working properly. Pls notice that the amount you see in first shipping option ($4500) was typed by me in shipping description, but system is not displaying the amount and not summing this to cost. Pls refer to image below.

    https://snipboard.io/muwn2q.jpg

Now, the second shipping zone is displaying the cost correctly. In order to try all variables, I had created a new shipping zone but using Local pick up shipping method instead of fix price.? The “fix price” method (listed first) is not displaying and the “local pick up” method (listed second) is displaying (See image below). Nevertheless, shipping method seems not to be the issue asI put all shipping with “local pick up” ( in other site with same problem) and the issue still occurs.

    Hi @cugli20,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I just noticed the price is typed manually and not showing at the end as it is the case for the second shipping zone.

I see you’re using 9.0.2 on the staging site, could you please update to 9.1.2 and check again? If the issue persists, can you try re-saving the shipping settings without adding a decimal separator? As mentioned here.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

    Thanks!

    Hello guys,

I updated to last version and the issue continued.

So I tried to enter the number as you mentioned. So I intentionally typed: $4500.00 and the system didn’t change the number (pls refer to image below)

    https://snipboard.io/Sj9WrF.jpg

This is how I have my settings:

    https://snipboard.io/abAyzx.jpg

**Now, it′s important to mention that we had discarded that this was the same issue with the comma and decimals (as you can read along the thread) I had already entered the shipping price without the comma or dot, but the system automatically turned it to the price with comma or dot. For example: I wrote $4000 and system turned it to $4.000,00**

However, this change seems to be working now. But I need to wait a couple of days to be sure, as remember that the issue here was that the problem get fixed inmediately after editing the price, but stops working after a few days. So I will let you know when I’m sure.

    Hello guys!

We didn’t receive new shipping cost errors after the change. So, the only way to fix this was entering numbers like this: $4000.00 (adding the 2 digits after the dot).

    Do you know why?

    Hi @cugli20,

Glad to hear your shipping cost errors have been resolved.

The reason you needed to add two digits after the dot is because WooCommerce is designed to recognize currency values in a standard format. This format includes two decimal places to represent cents in the dollar amount, even if it’s .00. This helps maintain consistency and accuracy in all financial calculations on the platform.

If you have any other questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask. We’re here to help!
