Shipping question

    I have a client that sells books, tee shirts and some art pieces. If a customer purchases a book we want to be able to ship the book via media mail (USPS) as it is much cheaper than the alternatives. But, if the customer orders a book and a tee shirt we would like the media mail option to not show as a shipping option. CUrrently we are using a plugin to get real time rates from USPS but we believe we are losing money by customers selecting the media mail option even when they have ordered more than just books.

    Anyone have a suggestion on how to deal with this situation? I can’t seem to find a shipping plugin that deals with this issue or maybe I just haven’t found the right one?

    Hi @elitewebservices,

    I’d recommend using the USPS Shipping Method premium plugin.

    This plugin has a setting that allows you to limit the use of Media Mail to a specific shipping class. So, you’d create a new shipping class, assign this class to only your book products, and then limit the use of Media Mail to the Books shipping class.
