Shipping quote not taxed in cart/checkout

    Hi,

    We are using Wocommerce 3.8.1 and 3rd party freight/shipping plugin from Transdirect v7.0

    When user selects a product and includes their shipping address the plugin returns applicable shipping rate however that item is not taxed in the cart total.

    We have “shipping” ticked for the standard rate tax item for GST of 10%

    Example;

    Item – $150.00
    Shipping – $20.00
    Tax – $15.00
    Total – $170.00

    We’re expecting the tax line item to reflect ALL costs in the cart, so this example above it should be $17.

    We are also waiting response from the plugin author, but wondering if any Woocommerce ninjas can help uncover the mystery.

    I’ve tried deactivating different plugins to see if any conflicts.

  • Hi! I do think the shipping plugin support would be the ones you’d want to talk to about this. Taxes should apply to shipping if you have it set that way in your settings.

    Thanks mate, we’re struggling with these guys atm, hoping to resolve soon and was a bit of a reach to ask here as well.

    Yeah, it sounds like they are not interpreting correctly the “taxable” tag for your rates that set the shipping as taxable ??

    Hopefully you get it sorted ASAP!
