The plugin does not seem to be retrieving the correct rates from Royal Mail. I have your plugin for displaying the weight of the order at 1.2kg, but the rate calculation for 1st Class mail is £3.69, when it should be more like £4.45. Please can you advise.

    Hi @pmeadows,

Just checked and for a weight of 1.2kg our plugin shows £4.45 for 1st class service.

    Best regards

Do you have any suggestions as to why there is a discrepancy for me? Is there anything in the settings that might account for it? It is a consistent error.

How can we check it in your store? What products can we add to the cart to reproduce this?

Try adding the following products to the cart:

    10 x Way Into Inspire

40 x Fellowship Band Reference Card

    Totals: £52.70, Weight: 1.2Kg, 1st Class Shipping: £3.69.

Note that the prices have changed a little since my above post, but the weights are the same, the total weight calculated by your plugin is still 1.2Kg, and the cost of 1st Class Shipping is still £3.70. Thanks. I look forward to your response.

I cannot reproduce this, I have only local pickup in checkout.

    Have you:

    (1) Changed the currency to GBP using the floating button?

    (2) Made sure the shipping address is in the UK, as per the instructions on the cart/checkout pages?

OK, now I see. Got 3.73 for first class service.

Which means you saved 7.19 in cart summary? Is this from a discount plugin? Maybe the discount also applies to shipping?

    Thread Starter pmeadows

    (@pmeadows)

I don’t think so. It makes no difference when I deactivate the discount plugin.

I think I found the problem. Shipping was not including UK tax. It was just a coincidence that small package without tax was exactly the amount for first class letter. Thanks guess your help. I am trying to use all Octolize plugins by the way.

We’re glad you found the solution, and thanks for using our plugins ??

If you have any other questions, please start a new thread. I’m marking this one as resolved.

    Kind regards,

    Piotrek
