    Hi – I just recently added local pickup as an option to my woocommerce cart where opentickets is installed. and now when a customer is buying a ticket shipping options are showing.

    before I added local pickup – there was no shipping options showing if the customer was only buying a ticket.

    Any suggestions on how not to show shipping items when tickets are getting purchased?? and still allow local pickup option to be active..

    @emcwebdesign how did you set ‘local pickup’ as an option? Did you enable shipping?
    Let us know how you set it up in terms of what options you have set, and we can perhaps make a suggestion.

    If you have shipping enabled, shipping will show on the checkout even if local pickup is the setting. You could perhaps use ‘Checkout Field Editor’ extension from WooCommerce to place a checkbox for ‘Local Pickup’ rather than use the shipping method.

    Hi – Yes I always had shipping enabled. The tickets that were sold before the last opentickets upgrade never showed a shipping option / the customer was never charged for shipping.

    Now with the newest tickets I created the shipping costs appeared.

    Is there a way to hide shipping when a customer is purchasing tickets?
    Shipping needs to be enabled as this site sells regular product too.

    I created a FREE shipping class and told this plugin to make the item free shipping & not to show shipping options in the cart when the ticket item is in the cart.

    EDIT to add! I stand corrected. When I set up the last ticket to sell I set the product as a ticket but forgot to select Virtual.

    Now that selected the Virtual checkbox on my active ticket item for sale – shipping is no longer showing & I disabled the shipping plugin I mentioned above.
