Shipping tax based on “cart items”

  • Hi, I have setup weight based shipping on our store and am having problems with VAT not being charged correctly.

    Example carts:
    All items have zero rate VAT = zero rate VAT on shipping
    Any item that have VAT = VAT on shipping.

    Shipping tax has Yes/No options. Am I correct is saying that weight based shipping does not support Shipping tax “based on cart items”

    Hi, @khards,

    For taxable shipping methods, WooCommerce calculates tax according to its settings, such as Shipping tax class at WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Tax options, and the Shipping checkbox at WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Standard/zero rates.

    The Shipping tax class based on cart items option is expected to work for both zero and non-zero tax rates.
