• Be warned plugin produces a completely incorrect robots.txt file which will lead to problems with search engine crawlers. It’s bloatware too.

    Yoast SEO allows you to edit the robots.txt in the WordPress dashboard but it doesn’t make any automatic changes to it. If you don’t edit it under SEO > Tools > File Editor, the robots.txt file should just display the default WordPress directives. Please, refer to this help article for more information.
