    I have built a site (localhost so far so can’t post a link) based on the Hueman and Hueman Child themes. This is on a PC using the latest Bitnami version of WordPress. I do not have Adobe Flash installed.

    It’s a one page site that has left and right sidebars and a center column that contains two yendif audio playlist players. The players display and function perfectly in Firefox and Chrome browsers… but not so with Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft edge.

    When I bring up the site in IE and Edge it displays “code” where the two Yendif play bars should be… i.e.

    type=”application/x-shockwave-flash”>

    If I go into setting in Edge and turn off Adobe Flash (which as I said isn’t installed !?!) this problem goes away. But I cannot count on people who would visit the site… when it goes live… to have this turned off. Could this be some kind of conflict between Flash and HTML5??

    I tried to look at the source code in IE but it wouldn’t come up.
    I did see one post that indicated this could be solved by adding a “if (browser version here) then…….

    If anyone could guide me through that process or another solution I would truly appreciate it.

    Thanks

    Under the plugin’s “Player Settings” menu in admin site, there is an option to change the default engine. Kindly change it to “HTML5”.

    Hope, this solved your issue!!!

    OMG!!! Who knew it would be something that simple! When I saw the html coding where the play bar should be… being a relative newbie… I jumped to the conclusion that a solution would have to be adding some kind of code to the child theme. Many Many thanks for pointing me to the right solution. All the browsers are displaying correctly now. Thanks for marking this resolved.

    One followup question if I may… Now that I’ve changed the default playback engine to html 5… does this mean that the web site will only fall back to flash for someone whose browser does not support html 5… and if so will it display correctly for them?

    Thanks!!
