Shop can’t be published

    Hello,

    We haven’t been able to open our Facebook commerce shop on facebook for months. We thought it was to do with the Commerce eligibility requirements, however, we finally got a response from facebook saying that ‘it was an issue with the connection of the third party platform woocommerce to the catalog 359039828707728’

    So something seems to not be working correctly, could it be the connection with the facebook for woocommerce plugin with the information which is being pulled?
    I’m a bit stumped! Would you be able to assist in helping us find what’s going wrong?

    Hi @thirdmind,

    Can you give us more information about where in the process the connection fails? Do you see an error message of any kind?

    We have some tips for overcoming common connection issues at this page; do any of those help solve it?

    Thanks for the response. There is no obvious connection fail or error. Products are being synced with Facebook commerce. However, we are unable to open a facebook commerce shop due to before mentioned reasons from Facebook support.
    I am able to tag products that I post, however unable to register for a Facebook commerce shop on Facebook and subsequently Instagram.

    I’m really at a loss for what is causing the supposed issue (it’s none of the ones listed in the link you sent). All Facebook say is its ‘an issue with the connection of the third party platform woocommerce to the catalog 359039828707728’ – for which I am using your plugin.

    I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you are having with your site. I’m a bit confused about the problem you mentioned.

    Where do you see the synced products on Facebook if not on the commerce shop page? Do you mean you can see the products on the Facebook business manager on the backend but don’t see it on the shop page or unable to create a shop page?

    Do you have some screenshots to help us understand what exactly is going on? Could you also please share a copy of your site’s System Status to see how your site is configured? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Thanks for providing further details.

    I noticed in your System Status Report that you have several outdated plugins, including Facebook for WooCommerce (2.3.2, whereas the latest is currently 2.3.5). Could you please back up and update your software per these instructions, as there may be an update that might fix the issue you are having?

    If that does not fix the issue, please could you ensure that you are only syncing physical products, as Facebook’s Commerce Policy prohibits selling non-physical products on Facebook. Facebook support may not have mentioned that, as it is an issue that needs to be resolved on the WooCommerce side.
