Shop Manager Level Access User Role Capabilities

    I am trying to enable my Shop Manager Level Access to be able to work with a Paid Plugin, called AffliateWP, and when I asked them about it they suggested This Plugin…

    I have read through this plugin’s information, but do not see that it allows Shop Manager to do anything, I only see on your screenshots that Administrator, Author, Contributor, Editor, and Subscriber User Roles can be affected by this plugin.

    I hope that you can confirm to me that this plugin will allow me to set up the Shop Manager Role to be able to utilize the functionality of the other plugin?

    Our plugin allows you to set up capabilities for any user roles you have including custom roles like Shop Manager. Keep in mind, however, that plugin has sections for some plugins like WooCommerce, but it doesn’t have a section for each plugin. Plugin authors can add admin areas using any capability they want, including custom capabilities. If you know which capabilities are required to access that plugin’s admin area, you can assign those capabilities to a user/role.

    Thank you for the quick response and clarifications. That other plugin has provided me with their “User Role Capabilities”, found here: https://docs.affiliatewp.com/article/1770-user-role-capabilities

    And, based on what you have stated and their provided information, I understand that by using this plugin and adding their meta capabilities then the Shop Manager should be able to do what is needed.

    I see their plugin has a lot of capabilities that I could add and just to be clear – this plugin does not limit the number of capabilities I can add to a specific User Role, correct?

    If you add capabilities, you can use them in the Member → Roles section. We don’t have any limits in a number of capabilities per user role.
